Terms of Use

SaveTag is a one-time purchase app built by one developer. These terms say what you may do with the app, how purchases work, and what we can and cannot promise. Plain language, no surprises.

Accepting these terms

By downloading or using SaveTag you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please stop using the app and delete it. This agreement is between you and the developer of SaveTag; Apple is not a party to it, although Apple's own App Store terms cover your download and your payment.

What your licence covers

You receive a personal, non-exclusive licence to use SaveTag on the Apple devices you own or control, on the same footing as Apple's Licensed Application End User Licence Agreement, which these terms supplement. You may not resell, rent, sublicense or redistribute the app, and you may not copy, modify or reverse engineer it beyond what the law expressly allows.

Purchases and restoring them

SaveTag Pro is a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase, never a subscription and never a recurring charge. Whatever the App Store shows for your country is the price that applies, and Apple takes the payment. Pro is included in Family Sharing, and you can restore it at no cost on any device signed in to the same Apple Account. Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's policy; we cannot issue them ourselves, but tell us what went wrong and we will help where we can.

Your saved content

Your links, notes, tags and settings belong to you and stay in SaveTag's on-device storage. We run no server that keeps a copy, which also means we cannot recover anything for you, so keeping your own backup — the Markdown export, or an encrypted device backup — is your responsibility. Please save only content you are entitled to save, and respect the terms of the sites you save from.

The app is provided as it is

SaveTag is provided as it is, without a warranty that it will be free of faults or always available. Link previews depend on the sites you save from and on your network, so some pages will not preview. As far as the law allows, the developer is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost data or lost time. Nothing here removes consumer rights that cannot be waived.

Changes and ending the agreement

The app and these terms may change as SaveTag develops; the current version always lives on this page, under the date above. Using the app after a change means you accept the updated terms. You may end this agreement at any time by deleting SaveTag, and a serious breach of these terms ends your licence. Deleting the app does not itself refund a purchase, which stays with Apple's policy.

Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of Taiwan, and disputes belong before the courts of Taiwan, without taking away protections you hold as a consumer where you live. Questions about these terms are welcome, in any language, at hourstag.app@gmail.com.
